Canadian North is Retiring their 737-200s with gravel kits

Probably Air Inuit and/or Nolinor will take up the route to Cambridge Bay until such time as they get that runway paved/coated later this year. Then Canadian North can run their 737-400 up. As for Kugluktuk, Air Inuit hopefully.

In the 1980s I flew on GDPA regularly between Edmonton and Tuktoyaktuk in the Dome Petroleum Beaufort Sea exploration days. It was a big deal when Dome bought the jet as before that we flew on a Lockheed Electra, which, looking back, was very cool too. At the time, the relative luxury of the 737 was very welcome though.
