Glad there was no fatalities ion the crash, but I have never seen a 72 before. Holy molly look at those engines! Almost like the plane has a hunched back. Impressive design.
The engine placement helps with STOL performance by increasing lift due to the blown area above the wing. The Boeing YC-14 used a similar design.
And makes handling on un paved runways doable.
