Was he on a Visual Approach? Was he using his ILS? Still a lot of Unanswered questions

So much for US flight crews being the sharpest knives in the drawer. Even they can be inexperienced and lack training. GPS will put you within 3' of where you should be. How do you miss a 150' wide runway?

That is ridiculous...I could see it once, but to abort, try, and succeed a 2nd time?
"Yes Captain, I am well aware Bombardier makes snow removal equipment. But this is not 1 of them!"

Considering even the runway was covered in snow and possibly no lights on during the storm except for the VASI unless it was also covered he must of fell prey to an optical illusion. An angled taxiway leading to the runway arcs lining up on the grass area. The grass area on the first half has what appears to be a two level sides along the length probably making him think the right side was the runway. Everything covered with snow with snow falling obstructing his vision he must of felt pressed to get on the ground after his first miss. Wrong answer of course. I think the airport might try having their runway lights on high intensity during snow storms for awhile. Wouldn't be the first time somebody went below minimums to land.

There are some people looking for work at Walmart today. How in the hell do you 'miss' a runway? Damn...
