Air France made an IATA winter flight route change and failed to inform Russian ATC. When the AF B777 turned up at Dovsk, Belarus with an invalid flight plan, Russian ATC said nyet to entry. A lesson to AF to get its act together.
Oh...so that explains it all.

Russians are too popular in most corners because they can do it. The next time Aeroflot seeks permission to fly through the CADIZ we should deny the bastxxxs entry ano send them back to Murmansk.
Unimpressed with Russia, as always. A rogue state. Remember KAL 007, and MH 17, both shot out of the sky by Russian military.
IMHO the whole KAL 007 incident looked suspiciously like an attempt to probe Soviet air defenses during the test of a new type of missile. The whole thing was very suspicious, but all those deaths enabled Reagan to get is cruise and Pershing II missiles installed in a reluctant Europe.
