Boeing Displaces Airbus at Hawaiian, Wins 787-9 Deal; Airline Cancels A330-800neo Order

Wow I'm a little surprised about this. I figured the A338neo would've been a good fit for Hawaiian given the commonality it has from already operating the A332. And tbh, I feel the 789 is to much aircraft for them. They would've benefited from the 788, but I guess they're more confident about the 789. In any case, it's nice to see that Boeing was able to get Hawaiian to buy from them again. I wonder what routes they'll be used on. Possibility of launching Hawaii - London?
