Air New Zealand to weigh passengers before they board the airplane
New Zealand’s Civil Aviation Authority is asking that its national airline weigh passengers departing on international flights from Auckland International Airport through July 2, 2023. (www.cnn.com) 更多...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
When they calculate pax fares, based on pounds / kilograms, expect some trouble.
Might be a few less seats per aircraft in the future.
aircraft are capable of lifting weights at takeoff, so why would any passenger object to a flight knowing how much it weighs at takeoff? Cargo is charged by the pound and distance. How are paying passengers in any significant way different? Same air fare for a jockey as a nfl defensive lineman? makes not much sense. THis could result in varying airfares based solely on pax body weight and baggage weights. Lighter carryons will result too.
