She seems to have handled decades of service in a male oriented field with class and humor. She makes me proud.

While I applaud Ms Lawrie's achievement I believe we will have truly made progress when we no longer need to report this sort of news and a pilot is viewed as a pilot regardless of their gender.
Steadily we are getting there, thanks to her and others like her.
