Former Boeing official subpoenaed in 737 MAX probe won’t turn over documents

He is a former employee, why would he have any relevant documents in the first place?
The article states that he sought help from colleagues in the piloting world for dealing with deadlines and stress. My guess is the Grand Jury wants personal emails between him and third parties, not internal Boeing documents he may still have. Pleading the Fifth to avoid producing those communications seems like a stretch since isn’t being tried, but that’s for the lawyers and courts to sort out.
If he used a personal email account, he's going to have some splaining to do. Not a good look.
My humble guess, 737 MAXs will stay on the ground longer than airlines expect. Things are becoming more and more complicated with every new progress.
It should go under the ground, and stay there.
The Bill of Rights is a wonderful tool to prevent government from doing things shouldn't had oughta.
It is terrible that so many souls were lost trusting this aircraft, the pilot's lawyers are correct in mounting a fifth amendment against a government that is desperate to scapegoat this pilot for the ills that have come from the 737 MAX.
