I read that it's 3-4-3 in economy. Eeek! 3-4-3 is tight on a 777 and that has a cabin roughly 10 inches wider.

Oh I forgot French Blue cram 411 into a A350!!!

This Sardine can is all down to the Airline. Caraibes cram 389 seats on the A350, while Singapore Airlines fits 253-says it all really. Its not the manufacturer but the Airkline that makes your flight uncomfortable!

Dare I say it. "If it aint Boeing I aint ...." I recently flew to Hong Kong and return Sydney with Cathay Pacific, out in an Airbus A330, home in a Boeing 777. No comparison!Cathay is not what it's cracked up to be, supposedly Airline of the year for 2016, not the aircraft I was on. What ever happened to ETOPS, I note heavy twins are doing 13 hour flights YSSY-KLAX all over water?

What made you prefer the 777 over the A330? I ask because I have always found the A330 preferable as it's quieter in the cabin.

Re ETOPS: YSSY - LAX only requires ETOPS 180 and ETOPS can go up to 330.

Hi David,
I guess it's where you sit re noise levels. Being Australian I am a bit biased toward Qantas and their (no longer) wonderful fleet of 747s. So impressed by the aircraft I don't recall any noise, but cattle class in an Airbus is dreadful!
