Well, that's what they said. That is also in keeping with farming for stuff out on the RJ's. That's what their pilots are griping so much about.

I don't think they were talking about the CRJ 900 looking at the facts they said they were going to use a 66 seat plane which is what the CRJ 700 is, and I think they were talking about that one.

The old CO had ExpressJet operating 50 pax ERJ-145 RJs as COEx flights IAH-YYZ, IAH-NAS and IAH-PSP. Not my idea of a good time....

No telling what we'll see. DAL said the other day they were pulling completly out of KFSM by 9/1. I was looking at the web page today. Looks like it will still be 3 flights in/out daily but they will be direct to ATL instead of MEM. looks like they are killing it off completly. Only way you can get there after 9/1 is VIA ATL. Also noted that these flights will be operated by XPJET rather than Pinnacle. Don't know if they'll be somthing bigger than the 50 pax that Pinnacle ran or not but that will be an interesting ride too.

It might not be Regional Jets it could be 757s and 767s and maybe some Airbus planes.

Well, I don't know about the other points but the story specifically says "66 passenger regional jets" on the Monterey

American Eagle used to fly ORD-NAS on a CRJ-700, circa 2008.

That's a pretty good stretch too.

A CRJ 700 has 66 seats so they might use them for the long hauls like O Hare to Anchorage and to Mexico.

I don't think the CRJ-700 can make it from ORD nonstop to ANC, especially with prevailing headwinds. We are talking a considerable distance here. For example, back in the day, Northwest flew ORD-ANC with a B747. These days, the B737-800 can fly ORD-ANC nonstop and I'll bet that's what UA will use - especially as Alaska Airlines has now decided to quit flying nonstop ORD-ANC with their B737-800 aircraft.

You might be right Inless they use the CRJ 900.

The CRJ 900 is currently not operated by any UA Express carrier. It's outside of the current scope clause so they cannot operate it on behalf of UA.

United flies RJs from AUS to SFO and AUS to LAX. The flight to SFO they check your baggage weight closely, they must max out the full load. I don't take either flight.
