It's a good thing he was on the plane.

One report on the tube stated the off duty cop is a 300 pounder. Hopefully the 22 y.o. punk is still trying to extract his nose from his lower airway.

Let's see how long it takes for the lawsuits to start. I'll bet the passenger will claim he was just mining his own business when that mean old Flight Attendant started picking on him. He was just trying to defend himself from that big guy, who without reason threw him to the floor. Ya think I'm kidding, huh.

Yeah, I bet he will, and the courts will rule in his favor and the cop will have to pay some ridiculous fine.

There is no excuse for the actions Mr. Yona took. Even in a state that requires those threatened (the FA) to retreat first, when under attract, one has on place to go in an aircraft. I hope the judicial system puts the full measure of law against Mr. Yona. The police officer hopefully will receive some sort of commendation. The article made no mention of any reaction or support offered by other passengers. Let us assume the sheep mentality, of pre-911, had not returned.

Ynoa should also be charged with assaulting a Police Officer.

They probably wouldn't consider it assaulting a police officer since he wasn't on duty.

It is assaulting a police office once he identifies himself.

What a shock this occurred on the DR flight. I was at the JB terminal 2 weeks ago and the whole line getting onto the DR flights and most of the passengers getting off the DR flights seemed to be fairly well tanked.
