A small plane overshot a runway at Westchester County Airport Friday morning, authorities said.
No injuries were reported when the Gulfstream G450 aircraft went about 4 feet off the end of Runway 6 after landing at the White Plains airport shortly before 9 a.m., according to the FAA and airport officials.
The aircraft overran the runway and ended up in the grass. Authorities said on the pilot and a co-pilot were on the plane.
An airport spokeswoman said there was a fair amount of fog at the time the plane overshot the runway, but it wasn't enough fog to shut down the airport. The airport was closed for two hours as the plane was towed off the grass, leading to some delays, she said. The plane was not damaged.
The FAA says its investigation is ongoing.
