— — - This Saab JAS 39 Gripen made a low fly pass over our suburb after taking off from AFB Waterkloof in Pretoria, South Africa. Sadly 12 of these recently accquired fighter planes by South African Air Force have been mothballed. The SA government maintains that there are no funds available to maintain and fly these planes, despite having just rescued our ailing SAA airline with another R9bn. Many billions have been used over several years by our treasury to bailout SAA, described as a bottomless pit.
