Boeing 747-400 (VH-OEI)
Comments
Great Photo
nicely done thanks Cameron
Love this.
The venerable "Queen of the Skies" B747-400s will all be gone from the Qantas fleet by 2020. Their demise has already begun. Sad day when they are all gone.
This shot and the American and British Air shots look phony. Only way to get those shots is with a helicopter at LAX. Which I really doubt happened!
Or Tom it could have been taken from a high point (like perhaps the tower) with a long lens
Tom, this was indeed taken from a helicopter. Star Helicopters who fly out of the nearby Hawthorn Municipal Airport run sightseeing charters over Los Angeles and surrounding area. One such tour is the 'plane spotting' tour which will fly you 700 feet directly over top LAX. When I did it, it cost me $300 US for one hour. It looks like Cameron had a nice clear day and his shots are outstanding!
Amazing x
Some size hello from Glasgow x
Some size x
Tom Williams, these shots are all real. There are helicopter services (specifically Star Helicopters, like Mark Thomas mentioned), and I took a flight from 12pm-1pm over the airport on June 29th. There are plenty of these shots available on the internet besides these, so I would recommend a Google search to find some more.
Fantastic picture! 5*++++
What a beauty!! ðð
