Numerous people, including me, had just positioned ourselves at the "16R" end of runway 16R-34L because the arrivals had been landing on 16R all day when I heard the tower advising that the runway traffic was being reversed. As I drove away from the north end, I stopped several times to inform different groups that Air Force One would be landing from the south on Runway 34L. Most folks thanked me for the info and headed for their vehicles, but one guy in one group of three told me that he had been in "this perfect spot" for over two hours and he wasn't going to "give it up" because of "a rumor." I just shrugged and drove away. About 25 minutes after I had parked near 34L, had determined a great location, and had snapped a test pic or two, I saw him and his two buddies trying to wedge his 4 x 4 into a small space between a bunch of cars parked along the 34L approach path. I guess that when he looked around and saw that his little group was all alone by 16R, he decided the "rumor" was true.

I'm with Darryl on this - great photo and just enough sunlight left to make it that bit better. (There will always be that one...).

Diana .... You are 100% correct. It is ALWAYS awesome. Darryl & Gavin .... His trip here was rather "last minute." I was again submitted for a WH Press Pass to be there on the ramp but there was not sufficient time for me to be cleared and approved so no go this time. So I set up here for this shot ... and I was amazed that no one else was nearby. There were lots of cars, but they were all either directly under the approach path (affording great shots of the undercarriage - why ?? - because they didn't have to walk anywhere) or they were on a side road called Turbo (affording fine shots INTO the setting sun -- again, why?? - because they could park and not have to walk anywhere). There was just ONE photog I saw out there that had positioned himself in a prime location (that he had to walk to get to); I took a pic of him before AF1 arrived and then I got him in the background of one of my clicks with AF1 in the foreground coming in. Unfortunately, I have no way of knowing who he is or how to get in touch so I can't get the pic to him. TYVM for your Comments, guys.

Being in prime campaign territory I do hope to see 82-8000 (Wisconsin) hopefully not the 757 as we go down the final stretch to the vote.

This is an excellent photograph of the beautiful aircraft. I appreciate the clear view of the mountains in the background and how they enhance the aircraft. Great work.

Superb shot of likely of one of the two oldest 747s still flying.
Note the updated engine cowlings, if not also upgraded engines.
