62-3557 was enroute to the NFARS when I snapped this. I enjoyed the (somewhat) ironic fact that this 60+ year old tanker, off the line and active way back in 1962, was going to Niagara Falls ARS which is located at Niagara Falls International Airport. For me, the irony was that NFIAP is located only 15 miles from the city I was born and raised in; born in 1950 - twelve years before this old bird came off the line. (And I have to admit .... 62-3557 looks a whole lot younger than I do. lol)

Nice history lesson and photo of a Stratotanker climbing out (they have a lot of power especially when empty).

Great Capture. Keep doing those mountain walks. You & this tanker will still be flying high.

Ken .... Yeah, at least for the present time, I'm still able to climb mountains, do 8 to 9 mile hikes, and etc., but .... the average life expectancy of an American male is 73 and so, unfortunately for me, my 'warranty's expired" ... which makes me 101% certain that old KC 62-3557 will still be around a looooong time after I'm nothing but worm chow. Gman! yabba! & 60 stars the connection between Niagara and Seattle is I probably saw this roaming the runway at BFI,,pre 1964...though I have no records, we saw so many KCs at BFI before we moved to CA I always wonder what pics or data I could have got then, to match your photos today....and I truly believe the life expectancy is 80-85yrs and that is where I am going,,,you are the same age as my oldest brother, I'm trailing 4 behind, and with my youngest brother living east if Carson City, we will cross paths soon as I get everything in order here.....the last move back to RDD was killer......items better now. We are going to Rattlesnake hill soon....a must see TV event..
