Carolina. It was raining as this Triple 7 touched down, but by the time it departed, the rain had ended and the sun was finding ways to break thru the overcast.

This arrival from Dallas was empty, but over the next 38 hours N819AX would fly back and forth between KRNO and KNKT a total of five times. Each of the three Reno-Cherry Point legs of the RNO-NKT-RNO-NKT-RNO-NKT marathon charter assignment had N819AX fully loaded with over 340 troops, all their individual gear, associated military training exercise cargo, and a full load of fuel for the long flights.
