Skis are fun!!
There's been quite a few L- designated Liaison Airplanes like Stinson, Piper, Aeronca, Cessna. Many have civilian equivalents.... Usually they just have more window glass and a few mil details and many have been rebuilt and get classified with the civilian code... ie Aeronca 7ccm and L-16b ...PA-18 and L-21.... Basically the same
Great shot. I met my wife in Anchorage. Whenever we come back for a visit, one of the places I head to is Lake Hood. The other is Merrill Field.
