Great pic, reminds me of Borse-air

Neat shot, but I believe that is a -200 not a -700.

This is a 737-200, I'm pretty sure. In 1997, when the -700 was born, there was no more Dan Air. But a very nice picture, indeed.

Yes guys, a -200. The -100 was 94' long & had 29+ windows, depending on the L or R side and possibly interior config. The -200 was 100' long & had 31+ windows, depending on the L or R side and maybe interior config. Both the models had the P&W JT8-D until 1979-80 when the -300 was introduced and CFM-56 engines installed etc., etc.

G-BJXJ is a 737-200. First flight, 1982. Now stored.

Bloody hell, that's back in the day... Dan Air. Used to fly out of Southampton and Bournemouth Airports

I flew Dan Air Lockheed 1011 from Toronto to London long time ago. you had to buy sandwiches on board when other airlines were providing full 3 course meals. Days of old

I always loved the -200 737's... I think they were better built by far, and the engines were the Timex of the industry... (Keeps on Ticking..). They were good to work on from a Mechanics view point and all the pilots that I have talked to enjoyed flying them. Todays standards seem to have too much Monkey Motion in all of the automations intended to keep the plane safer... I believe a well trained alert crew will do better than most of the Automation!
