My first fly was on DC3 with SAS from FRA to DUS. Flight time 1 hour. Date 1956.

First and only flight on DC3, Allegheny Airlines from ERI to EWR, also 1956. So exciting for a 10-year-old flying alone.

You cannot improve on perfection.
I was fortunate to work on the South African Air Force fleet of DC3's a long time ago. We modified them for all kinds of roles.
Even for high altitude photo reconanance, the pilots had Oxegen masks and heated suits.
