Rice Burner or not that's a beautiful airplane!
I loved it when the Blue Angels flew these and would go by and light up the afterburners.

And they could carry a payload almost equal to the weight of a Mig-21.

Beautiful shot! I fear though, that the Sun is setting (ouch) on these old birds as the JASDF gets more F-35s. One of the coolest looking things that ever flew.
