Pilot killed in crash at W.K. Kellogg Airport
A private, single-engine aircraft with a single occupant crashed during takeoff around 8:20 p.m. Thursday. The pilot, a Wisconsin man in his 30s, was killed in the crash, according to police on scene. (woodtv.com) 更多...

Sounds like he tried pulling a Harrison Ford. Why don't these people know to FLY STRAIGHT? They don't have the energy to bleed off right after takeoff. Better yet, why haven't they been taught?
I guess he did not read the FA squawks. There was a posting not that long ago of a FAA analysis of what to do if you lose power on take off. In most cases, you you do not have enough time to make it back to the runway. RIP.
