Airbus announced that it signed an agreement with its Chinese partners, the Tianjin Free Trade Zone Investment Company, as well as the Aviation Industry Corporation of China, to establish an A330 completion and delivery center in Tianjin, China.  The agreement follows a letter of intent that the three companies signed in 2014.

The new A330 completion and delivery center will be located close to the A320 family final assembly line in Tianjin.

In keeping with the agreement, A330 family aircraft will be assembled in Toulouse, France, and will then be flown to the new center, where further completion activities, such as cabin installation, aircraft painting, engine run, and flight tests, will be conducted.  Aircraft delivery and customer flight acceptance will also be carried out at the facility.

In addition to the agreement on the new center, Airbus also signed a letter of intent with the Aviation Industry Corporation of China on cabin development cooperation, as well as a procurement frame contract with Zhejiang Xizi Aerospace Fastener Company for design development, manufacturing, and supply of standard fastener parts.
