Nice perspective on this shot - very original. Good job!

The more I think about it - I suspect this was not as easy a shot to get as it looks. Excellent focus and detail - particularly in capturing the pilot through the windscreen.

Judging by the skimpy info - it's a Northwest Airlines Airbus Model 333 - taking off from Runway 24R, heading West [nominal 270] at LAX [LA Int'l]. The clincher is "Passing the cargo area from 24". Most takeoffs at LAX are into the prevailing wind (from the west) - which would be from runways 24L/24R or 25L/25R. But, ordinarily 24L or 24R - on the south side of the passenger terminal complex - are the ones used for takeoffs. The cargo terminal complex is indeed to the right [North] of 24L/R, before reaching the passenger terminals. What puzzles me is a seemingly very short takeoff roll. So could it be - a landing on 24L or R? If so - it would have been landing 'long'! BTW I've been racking my brain - trying to place that 'high rise' in the distance - with respect to the near end of 24l/R. Any comments?
