This C-141A is landing at Yokota Air Base near Tokyo, Japan. This was one of the primary stopping places for aircraft going and coming from Viet Nam. Photo taken in 1973. In 1973 I personally counted airplanes like this departing or landing every 12 minutes at the height of the war. The receipt and dispatch of these aircraft was handled by the 610 MASS (Military Airlift Support Squadron) for the Military Airlift Command.
